While yes, there are far better methods of determining body fat, calipers and underwater for example, my point was the scale to determine obesity isn't flawless - please continue to put everyone in a box. Even the military uses a similar flawed metric and will measure tape you for being over height/weight ratio.

My point is people who whine about BMI being a bad metric are just looking for an excuse. BMI works just fine for the vast majority of the population.
