If anyone wants any general pvp tips for EverQuest or on a certain class, the good folks at Google are waiting to search it for you. Some of it isn't relevant to P99 but if you really feel like you need a "primer" then there's some written shit out there.
No substitute for experience though. Pick a class that can pvp effectively to start with, and you'll learn other behavior patterns based on what people try to do to you.
Don't think I've had a druid do anything other than pumice, then attempt to root, and AoE (fire) rain me to death in the 50s...for example.
