I have a ton of questions that certainly fit this category but now I've drawn a blank, save one:
Why manually eat? For instance, I've seen folks summon globes of water and bread, and eat 3 or 4 in a row. Why not leave them in your inventory? Thanks

If the player has food that increases their stats, they will force feed themselves the regular food so that the stat food doesn't ever get consumed automatically, but instead stays in a slot preceding the "junk food" so the stat increases actually apply. Even if the player has only one piece of the +stat food, it will stay with them always, as long as they remember to force feed.
Example: Dark elf has a
Frost Giant Steak in their first bag, in the first slot. They fill up manually on
Summoned: Black Bread which they keep deeper within the same bag. Subsequently, they always have +4str +1sta.
