The "PT Barnum" as you call it, is about highlighting the facts of the investigation.
No one has been reprimanded, or lost their job, or even received a demotion for the security failure. You want to roll eyes and say so what, and say oh well par for the course.
What these hearings are about, is highlighting a greater issue--that being government accountability.
And I do not consider it a partisan investigation because of this greater symbolic value, in light of the fact that no one has received anything aside from questions, even when everyone is in agreement that there was a security failure.
They can hold 20 more hearings until that sinks in. As for the personal attack, I was freshly fueled up with a full tank off of some blog commenters. It was unnecessary, unfair and excessive. This is not rants and flames and I take it back.
