I'll admit I'm not in the raid scene on p99...but the rule makes sense.
Your thought was people will spend insane hours camping a raid spawn. I get that. Let them. If they desperately want a statue/AoW kill, then they can camp the fuck out of it for days on end having a sizable force in zone to engage. If they want NToV that week, fine, have your guild sit there and claim it. But you give up everything else.
It helps solves this training shit, leap frogging, and mindlessly clicking on a mob that has a wide spawn window.
What am I missing? As I mentioned before, it's the uber guilds that get fucked because they can pretty much kill at will right now. The remainder of the population not in uber guilds benefit.
