FTE always sounded a little silly to me. Routinely, in classic, Guides/GMs applied a first in force rule on Nameless. It wasn't enough to tag a monster, you had to have your raid force there. It went a little further than that though, when a target was in window, the guild who got their raid there first got the spawn. In essence, raid targets were "campable".
I totally get that no one wants poopsocking. But poopsocking happens anyways. Certainly now we have enough targets that we don't have to worry about 1 guild locking down all of the content. A first-in-force camping rule would force guilds to prioritize their targets.
