Perhaps it's time to stop calling yourselves a casual family friendly guild, you've lost perspective of what that means and what you're asking players who are parents to give up etc.
Still, as long as recruitment stays open you won't be short of zerglings to help climb that very steep BDA mountain for pixels. Don't mind the veterans waving from the top, they've got most of the loot they need and now they're getting it on their alts lol.

I've semi-ghosted like a thousand times and never got kicked. People always welcome me back when I decide to play, and the input from casual people in the guild is welcomed and listened to. If that's not a guild that is friendly to casuals and "family friendly" I don't know what is.
