fairly stable? we set a record for 1 and 2 day point drops, shit, just this morning it seemingly dropped 200 points for no damn reason and everyone is kinda scratching their heads about why. Chinese market is still all screwed up to no end, and yes, their market has a major effect on ours as we do theirs.

Records weren't based on % drops, which is all that matters. If your stock market is at 16k, it's going to have larger point swings than a market at 6k. That's math.
