The ideals of contemporary liberalism and the ideal of liberalism are incongruent. Progressive ideology embraces the antithesis freedom, with overt oppression of dissent wherein the individual is forbidden to stray from collective endorsed ideology. There are no individual rights in contemporary liberal ideology.
