Or perhaps they get ample donations as-is from people who enjoy what is being provided that they don't need to ask for donations? All you are suggesting is to create a reason to reward people for advertising, when they don't have any need to.
And why should he be given any kudos? If he enjoys what is being provided enough to want to donate to it, his enjoyment should be reward enough. If he doesn't enjoy it, then why is he donating?
