Outside of the banning of Nihilum guildbank alts for "security reasons", locking BIS accounts of "retired players" again for security reasons, and making a few bucks on the side, Derubael was actually a really great GM and one of the best staff members P99 and R99 has ever had.
Paymelinda was a terrible GM. Derubael actually put time into R99 and gave normal players sweeping reforms i.e. LNS (best thing to ever happen) and was always friendly to R99 and put his heart into his work. Deru was willing to get down and dirty into the issues and invested a lot of time into a toxic community.
Deru did enough good deeds to earn a quiet retirement either way.
