Right out of high school (about 13 years ago maybe a little longer). I worked a real late shift at a department store. As I was going back to my apartment I hit a black cat. I tried looking in a payphone phone book for any vet clinics that were open and nearby. Living in a podunk area in the south there were none (hell there wasn't even a walmart where I lived). Long story short. Cat died, and I couldn't buy a shovel; so it was disposed of in a truck stop outhouse.
