Pathing isn't classic. I've tested zones like City of Mist and Permafrost on Live, and you have to be much more careful there with mobs not getting stuck or falling into pits/off edges.

Item links aren't classic. They weren't introduced until Luclin or later as far as I remember.

We can easily agree that I both like P99's pathing and links, but I also liked timers. So game experience > classicness imo
