I have shawl 4 on my cleric so I can confirm that is in the game, I have been working on shawl 5 by collecting silks from VL and have gotten my 5 biles from wurms in GD, and once again I can confirm these are dropping.
I have made 1 Glowing Crystalline Silk Piece so far with the drops I have gotten, so it seems like the quest is completable from what I have collected so far.
