A. You don't play one so you don't know any better, so you're forgiven.
B. You're a bad Cleric
Cleric is a fairly busy class. Stuns, helping cc, calming, and the occasional rebuff. And you're almost always with an enchanter so don't miss those charm breaks like a scrub.

I do play a cleric along with some other classes, and I am speaking from experience. Also, my cleric is not a very high level on p99 yet, but I played one during classic.
In my opinion, if you are playing the game well, every single class is a busy class.
I have saved the group on a cleric numerous times by supporting with stuns, rooting, calming the room for pulls, pulling aggro to let everyone run, etc. I just do not think it is not as busy as an enchanter, and it can be relatively laid back during lower levels.
People say wizard is laid back, and they are partly right, but even wizard can get pretty wild at times. Good wizards also help with cc by stunning and rooting, and they have to occasionally save the tank or another group member by pulling aggro and nuking a mob down before the DS fades.
