It's either ban it outright or have people doing weird anti-social shit to make sure they get it before it's removed from the game. In the end, a couple guilds would probably have the zone on lockdown 24/7, preventing normal nerds like you and me from having access to rubicite at all.
We didn't know that certain items were going to be removed or nerfed in classic. We might have gotten a couple weeks worth of warning before a patch, but that was it. That's the main difference between classic and P99 and it has to be taken into consideration or else really bad things end up happening.

Either way, eliminating it would cause me to lose any interest in Re99. I mean, we are keeping other features of classic that are very dated in the interest of preserving that "classic" feel, so we might as well go 100%.
