I started bear pits at 53 and never had any issues charming wolves... I don't use any buffs for pets or anything... I just do the classic, charm send, they both get low, kill both with ES vams & breath of ro. I was able to clear pits a few times doing this. I just hate charming as a form of leveling, I much prefer quadding.
