It seems like some people get their greatest joy from being able to get people to ragequit, but its probably not good for the population overall or for the non-hardcore.
First of all, you're right. Players with this griefer attitude are detrimental to the server's population. However, there are ways around them; and with your group's composition, you might even be able to fight back.

We made strong efforts to bring groups to upper guk, runnyeye, HHK, and splitpaw. A couple times we were successful, but most of the time it was impossible to get anyone away from Faydwer.
I would forsake the isle of Faydwer entirely. Tis a silly place.

That group composition should be able to exp anywhere else. If you can get 1-2 more, like a tougher tank or a cleric or shaman, you'll be golden.

I know you like to be social - trust me, there will be new people to play with on Antonica from time to time. I just had a pickup group in South Karana.

We were a group of enchanter/monk/druid/necro.
This group, if played right, should be able to fend off a twink. Some tips:

If all four of you pumice at once, the twink will lose 8 buffs. (These twinks always have a full line of buffs to make them nearly invincible; dispelling them en masse will cut them down to size.) You guys did carry pumice, right?

With the enchanter's Tash, you should be able to land spells on them. If you can use Snare, Darkness, Root, Mez, or Disempower/Cripple line, the twink will be severely hobbled.

The necromancer's Heart Flutter like of spells is Disease-based, and no one stacks disease resistance; and that spell will stack with the enchanter's disempower line, further encumbering the enemy.

Necro lifetap and leech spells are unresistible. Twinks are unlikely to have high enough fire resist to stop druid nukes or the Necromancer's fire-based DoTs, but if they do, you can even use the necro's Scent line of spells to debuff all resists except magic.

With these debuffs, plus necro and druid DoTs, and the monk's melee attacks and perhaps a necro pet, you might be able to scare off the twink - or even YT them.

Try it if you guys come back.
