so monks are more tank in eq2 vs dps of eq1? is there any op ass items like tstaff in classic eq2? so many classes with so many abilities. ive been on eq1 so long not even sure im ready for this.

Every scout class gets a stun, usually 2-3.
Monks (defensive) and bruisers (offensive) are like offtanks for fights that require you to have an avoidance tank because the mob either ignores stats etc or just hits too hard. Later on they can do damn good damage and I know monks become essentially MTs for awhile in the later expansions.
No op stun items just 4-5 stuns and knock backs.
