Shouldn't be buddy buddy with players on any level; being a GM is a responsbility of being nuetral, and dedication to improving the game. Too much focus put on things outside of GMing. Should probably just be a top twitch streamer/player, but not have influence on decision making when you're overly friendly with a lot of people outside of staff.

I don't mean to jump in and gang up on the apparent outcast as a mere spectator but your standard for 'staff' seems pretty high. This is a literally 16 year old video game. People still choosing to populate (and administrate) this community supporting an emulated version of a game this old are cult. For you to expect that some non-biased and unaffiliated human should pop up and lifeguard your kiddy pool is far-fetched.
I'll be the first to state that someone made the wrong call or a bad decision but that's because people fuck up and a discussion of their failures is relevant to policing a community. The only reason that the 'no staff bashing, posting, criticism' etc policy is reasonable on this server is the Nilbog and potentially others are available for query when a staff member is out of line. I havent played in a while but i assume this policy maintains.
