Thanks for sharing this story, Ashur. I keep running into small packs of new players or solo folks when jaunting about on my druid so I'll toss them some buffs, tell 'em how to make the best use of thorns/dmg shield, stick around for a bit to ensure they dont pull more than they can handle, then I go about my merry way knowing I helped someone in the transition to p99. Just this week I ran into a group of 3- dwarf, wood elf & high elf in WC, buffed em & helped em pull/break the derv camp. Ran into a group of 4 Dark Elves & buffed em good. Then there's the lowbies that I give bronze armor & lowbie weapons to.

Why do I do this (when I could be getting xp on the grind to 60)?
1) Cuz thats what I like about being on my druid, tossing a buff on someone & having it help them out.
2) Cuz when I was just getting started here on p99, several folks did the same for me. A couple ppl gave me some starter gear pieces, others buffed me & still others took the time to answer my questions as it'd been 10 years since I last played & needed a refresher on some things.

It's easy to get jaded by the dbag who stole your camp or that person in group not pulling their weight & getting pissy when the group calls him/her out on it, etc. But I've always said that what makes p99 great (& why it reminds me SO much of classic) is the community. Keep being awesome, people!
