You should have done the same.

Caps are wise, but in all the port ups I've paid for every wizard has escaped unscathed by simply casting gate. You just have to be ready to do it the instant you're done zoning.
Nothing can see through sneak. However, there is a small chance for any mob in Hate to see through hide.
