There are 2 bard charms. The level 27 song does indeed last forever and only last 18 seconds at maximum duration but is restricted to level 35 and below. The mid 30s bard charm cast 20 mana per cast lasting up to 60 seconds and bards dont have meditate. They cannot keep it up forever they like everyone else will run out of mana.
