To anyone still having these problems:-

1. Do you share your connection with anyone else? (people streaming Netflix, watching Twitch, etc).

If so, get everyone to stop for a minute...and try zoning places again.

I lived in shared accommodation a few years back and shared an internet connection with 6 others. Those bastards loved to stream the football, stream films they didn't want to buy or download, and do other things that hogged every kilobyte of bandwidth. At that point I was struggling to see the server list on the server select screen and would sometimes disconnect while zoning.

So I think it could be a bandwidth issue for some people.

2. Are you playing on a wireless connection?

Wireless just adds another layer of crap to your internet connection. If you're loading Facebook/Amazon/etc you won't notice the connection occasionally stalling/dropping out but if you're gaming you more than likely would notice a ping spike for a moment or two.

Get near your modem/router if you're not already near it and plug an ethernet cable in (they're cheap to buy, most routers come with a short one at least). That'll do a lot to stabilize your connection.

Basically try and eliminate your connection from router to wireless card from being the issue.

Try copying your P99 folder onto a USB stick and seeing if it works on another computer/laptop/etc. Eliminate these things... it's got to be something, and if you can narrow the field down you're more likely to find solutions.

Take a laptop with P99 on it and test it at a friend's house on their connection... and crucially, tell them about the red server and sit them down on it for an hour [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
