There were no guilds competing with <Empire>. The best any of the other guilds could do was harass and poach every once in a while. <Empire> was uncontested on almost every mob. If that situation had continued into Velious the gear advantage and possibilities for any hope of competition on the server would have been lost.
It was absolutely necessary for <Good Guys> to be created. Fire with Fire. There is enough time between now and Velious for <Good Guys> to become a cohesive fighting team and to round out gear disadvantages.
If people truly believe anyone was "competing" with <Empire> until now you're sadly mistaken. A lot of people have put a lot of differences aside in order to even the playing field here. The motivations, whether selfish or altruistic, don't matter. The end justifies the means.
<Empire> is already losing dragons. Their unfettered ability to garner planar gear and dominate all raid mobs has been compromised.

You are funny, we do not garner Planar gear lawl. If it drops when we kill a god, cool, other than that we rarely ever have the need to go out and "garner" planar gear. Cmon now, this isn't Fresh.
