Disarming NPCs can actually *raise* the damage they do. Some NPCs have a preferred weapon type (like scythes on orcs), so if you disarm those, they'll do less damage. But if you were to disarm like a rusty two handed sword, the NPCs unarmed damage will be higher than if you left the very slow 2H weapon that's capped at the same damage as their dual wielded fists.

Hmm, that is a interesting thought. Not too sure that is true, but it sort of makes sense on a high level mob??
