Why is this different between the red and blue servers? This must be documented somewhere, I must just be bad at searching forums.

Isn't it widely accepted that the red way is classic where ducking does not instantly stop the cast and you can sit during a spell as long as you stand before it ends and it will still cast?
Mid-Velious modification:

** Gameplay Changes **

- Spell and Item Interruption: Ducking will now interrupt a spell
instantly. You will no longer be able to sit while using items or
casting spells.
This will not affect bard songs, which will still work
as they always have, but will affect all items, even those with song-
like effects.

Red has the classic implementation.

It has been acknowledged by Devs that blue is not classic implementation, but that it has been there for so long and Velious is Soon(TM), but future servers would have the proper implementation whether blue/red.

Nilbog telling non-believers about Classic spell mechanics.

Damn guys.

It worked like this till 2001. Unless you played something that cast no spells, this is something you should definitely remember.

In addition to this, you *should* be able to sit down during a long cast from a spell or clicky. As long as you are standing when it completes, it should resolve and cast.

It makes pvp a lot more skillful and you can adjust to new situations a lot faster instead of being stuck in a 7 second cast..
I hope this is a joke. It obviously takes a lot more skill to pay attention to wtf you're doing and not cast the wrong spell.
