Wow, that would be a leap of faith to believe a complete Noob can be a Bard first toon lol. Not many people can walk and chew gum at the same time let alone play a Bard.

I would say a Mage. Cost nothing to equip, and just buy Fire, Earth pets to start. I would definitely do a character with the ability to be able to bind. Dying 4 zones away that you have no clue about how to get back is not my idea of a good time.
