My only issue with the rain/thunder sounds are how loud they are even at the lowest settings. I can have all my sounds set to the levels I want and it still comes through wicked loud. On another note in Lavastorm the volcano sounds are also ear shattering loud.

Same here. And that damn Thunder in Lava, good god.
There was a patch you could do on the forums like a year ago, but can't find the Thread anymore. It does get old as heck after awhile.
