Welcome Talathar, if you need an enchanter around 20ish, let me know. I'm always looking to group up. My char's name is Shnate.

Masked, I just have to ask this. Essentially taking a larger piece of the pie would mean that everyone else takes a smaller piece. I was under the impression xp per mob never changes, so wouldn't that mean everyone else is taking less xp because their slice is smaller? I have never grasped this concept 100%.
Yes, but it is not 40% less for each person as some people propagate/misunderstand. It works like this:

Suppose you have a mob that gives 12000xp. Now suppose you have a full group of players all the same level and with no xp penalties or bonuses. Let's also assume group xp bonus doesn't exist to keep things simple.

In this scenario each player would receive 12000/6 = 2000xp. The formula is actually based off total character xp, but since we are assuming everyone to be the same level that is irrelevant. Now if we have a hybrid w/40% penalty swap in for one of the other characters we end up w/ 12000/6.4 = 1875xp per person for everyone except the hybrid who receives 40% more or 2625. The xp of each group member is effectively reduced by 6.25% than if they were to group with a class with no penalty (priests, rogues and warriors).
