Default Color me surprised

After retiring from EQ back in 2008, I never expected to play again. "Real Life" became very serious following the death of my Dad. My two best friends IRL, you know them as Cenydd and Rhaize, both clerics, and former members of MC, both moved to different areas, Cenydd is still in Alaska, as am I, but Rhaize finally decided to make the move out of Alaska and is now residing in Spokane, WA. I believe he still plays on one of the Live servers, spending his evenings buffing people near the port stones in PoK with his RL lady, Meddo. My daughter got married to a fine young man, a marine, who has already done 3 tours in Afghanistan. She gave birth to a wonderful little girl on 9/11/2013....that still shocks me, 48 years old and a grandfather.....how time flies.

I was trolling around on YouTube last week and came upon a few videos posted of some EQ sessions on an EQ emulator and was both shocked and surprised to see the guild tag of "Moonlight Crusaders" on one what looked like an Ogre warrior. That led me here, to this post.....I just had to see if Kimja was responsible for this or if it was one of the "old guard" that was carrying on the name. I am very intrigued by the whole idea of the EQ of old, many fond memories return reminiscing about it.

I scrolled through this thread and have seen many names from the past that evoked a smile, and many more that I didn't see that have made me wonder about them and if they are playing here......

Rennhelm....Hi Elf Cleric...easily one of the best clerics I had the pleasure of playing with, completing his Epic 1.0 was the first Epic I had assisted with and it was a great time doing so.

Ghaniba....Iksar Monk and a guy that never ceased to make me laugh, he and Trebor (Mage) together could evoke laughter from a rock.

Bulvai.....Barbarian Shaman. Game was always secondary, he was always more about the friendships than the gameplay.

Maybe I'll put a box together out of some spare parts I have laying around and see if I can get it working enough to download EQ Titanium and get the emulator working....the nostalgia of it all is pulling at me pretty hard....going to talk to Cenydd this afternoon, see if I can get him in on it too.
