This is such a silly conversation. The answer was directly posted. It is 100% a violation, and identical to the issue that we had a few months ago with Tranix crowns.
On any item camp, you get to camp your item one time. If you want to give it to a friend, corpse it, or keep it, it's up to you, but you are done with the camp.
With the AC, where the ring is a 100% drop, it's pretty clear. If AC spawns and he kills it, he has to cede it.

This is absolutely correct. Once AC pops, the camp holder is done and must relinquish to someone present within a couple minutes of the next PH spawn, regardless of who looted the item.
That doesn't mean the next guy can't hand off to another one of his buddies, and so on and so forth, and disregard any sort of "list", but that's more of a douchebaggery thing and not a rule infraction thing.
