the only reason your experience was negative is because you allowed it to be so. you obviously thought that random, seemingly friendly pickup groups on red were safe because you killed a few mobs together.
you leveled up extremely quickly and spent no more than several hours on red. you did not join a guild, you did not make a serious effort to find like-minded players.

instead you keep 150 plat on your character in HHK while you saunter off AFK to relieve yourself. some random rogue obviously got mad that you were not fulfilling your group obligations and ganked you.

then you come on the boards and scream about the red community. I'd venture to say that had you:

A) bound outside of HHK.
B) banked your plat.
C) told the group you had to log for a couple
D) joined <Fresh> and leveled with guildees

that your experience on red would probably still be ongoing. just mho. what upsets me about your "negative" experience is that you brought it on yourself and it was completely avoidable had you been a little...let's say...smarter. regarding the situation you placed yourself in, that is. EDIT: You didn't spend enough time on red to learn anything about the community. your experience was with some random PU group. you'd be griefed harder on blue, trust me.
a) Incorrect assumption.
b) I still had banked plat, though only 100. I had just sold at the nearby mearchant and forgot to drop extra plat in bank. not upset about the loss at all, am upset players wouldnt return it to noob checking out server
c) Another incorrect assumption
d) No thanks
