Iksar is the master race, especially for necros. Insta Invis + FD + skelly form etc you won't miss any content. You can level to 60 and not leave but a couple zones away from Cabilis, then venture forth and conquer the rest of the world.
Probably my favorite class in all of EQ. Raiding not too hot on a necro tho
