Those 2-3 months were key to what happened. Had the staff not banned Holocaust, the unfettered zerging that Nihilum was able to do would never have occurred. Nihilum benefited from being the only option to slay dragons post holo ban. As we've seen before on this server and even recently, once a guild gets a lead on the competition here it's basically impossible to knock them off the perch.
Back to the other point though, it should come as no surprise that Nihilum's downfall came from burning it's own members and the unchecked abuse of power that Nizzar wielded. Luckily, Holocaust has a strong officer core that works as a unit, and a leadership structure that cares about server growth.

It is easy to say how things should have been. But when trying to hold a guild together on a server when the turnover is so high things can lose sight or become muddy.
I myself just tried to point Nihilum in right direction when it came to seeing things from a more clear perspective. Ultimately though I was not the one at the steering wheel. I was just the one saying "hey I think we should go this way".
I wish you guys good luck, I really do. I have no skin in the game at this point, and I have no hard feelings for anyone that kept it in game. All I am saying is that its too early to tell. At some point Holo will be challenged by external and internal competition, and the one that you fail to see is the one that ends up destroying you. Those will be the real test.
