Rogues are not a bad class when it comes to finding groups willing to take you.
You're the (second) best group dps in the game behind a charming enchanter, and they cost the least EXP of any dpsy class, roughly tied with a warrior. Most importantly, dps stacks. Your typical group probably wants only 1 shaman, 1 enchanter, 1 cleric at most. Sometimes they don't even want a tank and go with a monk instead. But there are 3 or more spots for dps usually, and they want to fill those spots with rogues.
But really more than anything, unless you're a ranger, it has more to do with your skill at finding groups, which involves knowing: 1. Where and when to look 2. How to talk to people and make connections 3. How to build your own groups
