this is prolly true. But either way, server pop climbed alot the last year Nihilum was around, and it continued when Azrael and later Holo took over. So i think we have to look for a different reason than which guild is currently on top.
I think a completely overfilled blue server is a more important reason.

Population increase is hard to credit to a certain faction on the server. I think most players that try red have a hard time going back to blue if they give it a real shot. I was just referring to the competition at end game whether it is a 100 or 300 population. Anyone that offers help to new players and allows them to get somewhat established before being scared off helps increase population.
If Azrael wasn't around right now I think Fresh would have a better chance at competing. If Holocaust started getting ugly and stomping Fresh all the time it might build some resentment and get players to be very loyal to Fresh.
The problem ends up being people always think Azrael is the best chance they have to get back at the number 1 guild but it isn't. The core is run by a couple of guys that just care about their ego, getting some YT and rubbing pointless shit in peoples faces. There is no vision for long term success.
