I understand I'm not in your shoes as a true lowbie/noobie, but at least there are people playing on the server.
Would you rather log into a server and have your pick of camps, but no one to group with/socialize with?
Or would you rather have a vibrant community and have to deal with other folks camping/killing the same stuff you intended to?
It's funny, but this "issue" could not possibly be any more "classic."
The first time we all logged onto EverQuest (unless you played Ultima Online before that) in 1999, you found out quickly that the environment and its spoils are shared.
