There is no point behind making this change unless gms will no longer restore corpses. Will just add more work for the gms.
Also, and more importantly, I recall a post by a gm who said that if he were to take an extended break he would create a corpse with all of his gear, let it expire, and then ask for a corpse summon whenever he returned.
Without significant advanced notice of a change to said policy, people who relied on that post could stand to unfairly lose their gear
