Another thing I've noticed is that there's almost never a young kodiak in the zone. I remember being killed by one somewhat near to the water on the EC side of the zone on live, and they weren't very rare from what I could tell; currently there's some chance for a young kodiak to spawn but it seems awfully low. Anyways, not a big deal.
