I do believe though in this case the term casual was specifically intended to differentiate between an every day player no matter how many hours they play and a Guild involved Raider. I would agree with the sentiment that it's not necessarily time dependent in this context. The majority of 'guild involved raiders' don't play much of the game. They only park>login>kill>park>logoff.
Casuals play more than the hard core raiders, yet still too much time spent is not casual either.
