I hear ya there sir. I have tested it pretty extensively. The bracket edge is well below the cuff of your snowboarding boot and for most will be below the top of your binding as well. I had to lean VERY hard just to get my boot to touch the bracket. Your leg would have to break before the bracket could injure you.
Injection molding for the bracket is a very real possibility. It would reduce our cost on the bracket by 300%. Issue at this point is the initial investment is $10,000 to have the tooling done and once its done we can't change it. With Aluminum we are just working off CAD file and can adjust as we go and laser cut them out with the new changes. But Injection molding may be the direction we go sometime in the future.
