What? You lost me there. I been sarcastic the whole time. And I said a lot of folks will ignore Beats but run too Bose just because they don't like Dr Dre or don't want to be associated with anything black.

They all have good sound quality, they are all assemblies of massively ordered cheap plastic parts from China. Everything you know about them are based on marketing information and trends among people. Most human ears can't even start to distinguish the difference in sound quality in higher end audio equipment, and everyone's ears has their own preferences and pick up sounds differently aswell.
People don't flee from Beats to Bose because they are scared of blacks.

Younger people like Beats because of the image.

As you put it, white 35+ year olds like Bose because of the image.

Beats are made of cheap plastic and have huge margins. If you bend them wrong they break. If you buy a good pair of headphones in the same price range that aren't marked up because of the image you will not have a bunch of cheap plastic parts, as you put it. Beats are the first headphones in that price range to market like they do, slapping headphones on celebrities and athletes.

There is a huge difference between the quality of Beats and a real pair of headphones that everyone can notice if they tested them both.

Like I said I have nothing against someone buying the headphones because of how they look because you do notice people wearing the Beats headphones out in public where most headphones in that price range wouldn't be used out of the home. It is a fashion item for a lot of people and it makes them feel good being in public sporting them, good for them.

On the other hand if you believe the hype that they sound good you are a mindless sheep that can't think for themselves.
