Even though you progress quickly I wouldn't join unless you had a group with at least 4-5 people putting in 30+ hours a week. If you log in for 10-20 hours a week you will end up just getting farmed by a couple groups that play 24/7, especially since maps show your location.
If you are a hardcore player with a few friends that also have high play times it could be a fun server. You basically gotta be able to log in and raid every time you are on so you have to have a group that can have 4-5 people on at any given time.
The pros are that you don't need a large group to down content because charm is so overpowered. This is a great server if you want to see your chars decked out in pixels doing extreme amounts of damage. If you like classic everquest you will hate it.
