Of course, there's another side to this.
Take a group of people who don't have high level toons, and haven't explored Velious content (at least not recently enough to matter), give them high level toons and let them loose in these new zones.
Is the feedback you're going to receive of any real value? Some, maybe, but mostly you'll get a crazy, chaotic cluster.
The purpose of open or forced betas is load testing (and MAYBE hunting lagpoints caused by bad object intersections). That's it's only true value. No one else has any idea what's going on, or how to behave. IF they play at all (and that's a BIG if) they'll be too busy figuring things out and dying repeatedly to know if anything is 'how it should be' to provide valuable feedback.

There is a multitude of things to do in Velious that doesn't involve being a high level and whirling yourself around dungeons you can't handle, fortunately, if that is what you choose to do, you have the option.
When you /beta over a character, it creates a copy of your toon, you can continue to use said toon to test your own metal in the land of Winter, or you can be just as useless to the community as you want to be.
Hopefully somewhere in the cluster, some good will come forth and we can all rejoice when Velious drops instead of picking trouble at each other.
