So because of this thread I decided to give blue a try. I have seen several threads of blue people desperate for population and thought I could be a valued member of their community.

The community was terrible and really changed my opinion of the game. When I tried doing the old dungeons I was used to playing back on live I was ostracized by other players in the zone.

I was told to F off because I was a hybrid and I didn't have a fungi tunic in CB.

When I went to Unrest there was a group of 3 guys taking all the trash mobs in a PL group, they called me a newbie scum and said I couldn't join with them because I wasn't leet enough. I sat along one of the walls along with 20 other people in my situation waiting to try to peel off a random beetle for some experience.

I was forced to go out on my own and fight light blues in a remote location even though there was this large population because of my class and poor gear. I couldn't do group content to get gear so I had to solo mobs and sell what I could to finally raise 200pp. I was told to go to EC to purchase gear so I made the long boat ride over.

Once I was there I wasn't able to purchase any gear because the prices were so inflated. Something to do with exploits and RMT causing insane inflation to the servers economy so I couldn't buy anything.

I found someone that was willing to help me by answering some questions. I wanted to know that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. He was a level 60 mage, so I figured he had some good experience with end game and might give me some motivation to keep going.

Long story short he said it took him 3 months to get into his guild. I don't want to name the guild because I don't want to put anyone specific down. He said for him to earn DKP and be allowed to stay in the guild he has to duck cast CoH for 2-6 hours straight once a week for his shift. If he misses one of his shifts he is docked dkp and his guild would probably lose their place in line for mobs. I asked him how the competition was and why people were just waiting in lines and he explained to me that the end game is basically like this. You are forced to log in and stay put until a mob appears and then you attack it. This can go on for hours.

I'm glad many of you have found a place that you enjoy but it just isn't for me. Thanks for reaching out and trying to recruit though. It just so happens it was pretty good timing for the WoW expansion to come out and it is my understanding they have a better system to provide more challenging PvE, a large population and even allow for PvP on their game.

After my experience on blue it is the only alternative for me. If only there was a way to take the game of Everquest and introduce a system to compete for content so things were fair, fun and competitive. It sounds like a dream, if only it was a reality. Take care everyone and good luck.
