These guilds do have a lot of turn over and (even worse) gearing out a ridiculous number of alts has become the new meta for top end guilds that have been here a while.
And that ridiculous number of alts needs a ridiculous amount of finite pixels.
IE: 6 beards in each of the top guilds decide that in the case that one of them isn't online, they will each need a warrior + cleric should one their top warriors/a cleric not be able to show up. Then they will want alts camped out at (as close as possible) each raid mob (extremely prevalent) to compete with the other uber guild who also has alts camped out each raid mob... the solution has been a closely preserved timeline where Velious would have been out for a year already. Obviously with the amount of work being done in Kunark to fix mechanics that were missed in classic... this was just not possible. Deal with it is the best solution. There should be plenty of dragon items and epics for sale that you can work for at this point. No live server had everyone with an epic and full PD loot, but that's the "solution" people want in place.
