Doesn't really matter what we do, the people who want to cry will find a contrary stance to cry from. If you don't like something, help make it better, if you can't be bothered to put forth that much effort here, try your own classic server. See how perfect you get it.

I always get this feeling that somehow when people start whining and complaining on here that GM's are gonna just take down the server and say screw you... please don't do that by the way!! Project 1999 owns all. I think the majority of people on this server would agree with me there.
On a related note, this is an emulated server and we should be doing nothing but thanking and praising the GM's for hosting any event at all. I was impressed to see the guards in some cities were now zombies, and the wolves had red eyes. That is more than I had first expected when joining an emulator, and to me felt really professional. I also enjoy the GM's zone stress tests and I'm glad to help out, even if I lag out. Helps them see how the server is holding up with changes.
Frankly (I wasn't on for the Halloween's event btw, so I got nothing) if you want to whine that someone got a rare item that no longer drops, and it makes you feel less awesome because your virtual item is somehow less cool, the server would be better without you. This place is about nostalgia and the pleasure of re-joining a world we thought lost, not about your personal measurements.
The GM's here are feeling the pains that GM's of other games feel because the community is getting larger and unfortunately that invites some idiots in. The rest of us should actively try to counter the idiocy, and show the GM's our deep support.
