Depending on how anti-twink, classic experience you want to get, I'd recommend only buying/selling from other guild members.
If you want crafted items, someone in your guild should do it. Assign one person to blacksmithing, one to tailoring, one to jewelcrafting, etc.
Stuff like +55 hp rings were not standard fare among new players.
I would even go so far as to say you can't buy vendor items that someone else vendored. If it's the vendor's regularly stocked items, then it's okay.
Wear only what you get as drops or craft or trade within the guild.
