Just ignore the hate. It's part of being a ranger. You don't want to group with those people anyways, they are dumbasses. At least they self-identify. When you do get in groups/duos, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY. Moronic monks and stupid rogues are given a pass, but any mistake you make as a ranger will be taken as proof. Save a few clerics and enchanters. Park mobs. Harmony pull. Show what you can do. Know how aggro works. Peel with flame lick/snare/spam heals. etc. Most of all - don't whine, just do your best. You can expect to be shunned by some, so get used to it.
Look at it this way - any fool can play most classes to 60. When I see a 60 Ranger, I am seriously impressed. When I see a 60 knight, I am impressed. Most other classes - yawn. Rogue - lol.
